Chapter 2.35: The Enochian Tower

(Spell save DC 14 versus constitution 4, 4, 21, 12, 13)
With the almost deafening sound of feathers ruffling, Hadriel takes off and launches himself fifteen feet into the air.
“Your ignorance shall be your downfall! Let the light of the Seraphim be your guidance and blind you for eternity!”
His see-through golden wings have a wide span, covering half of the tower’s circumference, and they start to glow with a beaming golden radiance. He flaps his wings forward in a downward angle and envelops the entire ground floor in a blinding light.
The draconian cleric turns his back to him with closed eyes just in time, but all the others are not fast enough. Their vision goes blurry and it becomes hard to see where this mortal threat really is.

Mero is slightly in panic for a second, but then smiles as if he is the smartest person in the room.
“I don’t need to see you if my magic can do it for me!”
With his face to the floor, trying not to look at his glowing enemy, he points his fingers to where he can hear the burning tunes. Three small purple bolts jolt towards the descendant of the Seraphim, all spiraling around each other as they find their way with ease against Hadriel’s naked chest.
No sounds of pain or displeasement leave his mouth as he holds his left hand forward and flames start to rise up from it. The fire materializes and a blazing longsword appears.
“You will know wrath! You will know pain! You will know death!”
While he rants, Bruq sees enough opportunity to trust other senses than his sight to help him locate Hadriel. Without the use of his impaired vision he shoots an arrow up in the air and pierces his leg. The arrow burns immediately and the ashes are spread throughout the room by the heated air coming of the angel’s body.
“Spread out!”
After giving this command, Oslando runs to the other side of the room to make sure they don't stand all crammed together and take a hit like the time with the gnoll shaman.

“Good idea, Mero”, Lyssa says, fully aware that her vocal magic doesn’t require her seeing Hadriel. She looks up to the golden man flying above her, not able to observe where he exactly is, although the body that is his beacon gives it away enough.
“Hadriel, you’re a very warm audience”, she says with a loud voice. It’s quite a booming sound as it echoes throughout the whole tower. “But can you tell me this: what did the one angel say to greet the other angel?” A stillness falls. Her companions know she must be casting some kind of spell, because this is no time for riddles and no time for comedy. “Halo.”
And, as if he wasn’t in combat, as if he is with his best friends, he begins to smile. The subtle chuckling becomes a bellowing laugh and quickly turns into a hysterical howling. He grabs his stomach with his spare hand to try and make the muscle pain disappear as he slowly starts descending. His cacophonous voices are thunderous and shake his entire body, forcing him onto his knees in hysterical agony.
Dargothoth sees the opportunity to strike him down quickly and closes in on him. He brings down his sceptre, accompanying it with a hate-filled roar, but is stopped just inches from his glistering skin, blocked by a golden aura that becomes visible around him.
“A shield of faith will not protect you forever, seraph!”
With tears of laughter running down his face he looks up to the angered dragonborn.
“I don’t need it forever”, he snickers at him, “just long enough to make sure you’ll never escape this place. This tower will be your tomb and you’ll rot here for eternity!”
